I have been proud to serve my rural parish for 12 years and am delighted to be serving another term. In that time we have fought off land raise, reduced speed limits, and helped countless people with health or financial worries. I have had the privilege to have worked as a Cabinet Member of the Council, with responsibilities for schools, waste management, transport including road maintenance and now as Deputy Leader of the Council I have responsibility for setting the budget, setting Council Tax and making sure the money, your money, goes where it is needed most.
The greatest challenge we will face is the climate emergency. We are working with the right people to do the right things to protect and enhance the environment. We will also further develop better broadband, add more walking and cycling access and bring in LED street lights. You may also be assured that I will always represent the communities I serve on contentious issues or where there are opportunities to enhance social value.
