I have lived in Seaford for over 25 years and was first elected as a Lewes District Council Councillor, in May 2011, and am now an East Sussex County Councillor.
COUNCILLOR
I have been a very vocal and proactive campaigner for our lovely town Seaford and have been involved in numerous local issues including the campaign to save Eastbourne DGH and the campaign for improved health services in Seaford.
I played an active role in campaigning to save the Seaford Waste and Recycling Site from closure and was involved in the campaign to save the Buckle Car Park from development. Recently I have worked closely with the Downs Development Neighbourhood Voice in opposing the development on the grounds of Downs Leisure Centre.
VOLUNTEERING
As well as being an active local Councillor, I have supported many local and voluntary organisations in Seaford. I served as a Director of the Seaford Community Partnership (an umbrella voluntary organisation helping Seaford), served as an Executive Member of the Seaford Residents Voice, worked with the Seaford Tree Wardens and currently a member of Seaford Bonfire Society.
During the first COVID-19 Pandemic lockdown, I helped the Seaford Volunteer Emergency Team as a Telephone Helpline Volunteer.
