Tom has lived locally for over 35 years and, as a small-business owner, understands the challenges we face following the pandemic.
"We must ensure our local economy recovers, our young people have the start in life they deserve and we continue to improve the roads our villages need", he says.
Since first elected he has worked across many areas within the County Council including working with others to ensure the future of the Pevensey Bay Library, many road improvements and ensuring that those who need help at whatever stage of life they are at are cared for and have the skills they need to succeed.
Tom Currently serves as Chairman of the County Council's Planning Committee, and serves on a number of outside bodies including those covering coastal defences and flooding being pertinent local issues to the Pevensey and Stone Cross division.
