New businesses in Wealden can take advantage of free marketing advice thanks to a programme supported by Conservative-led East Sussex.
The county council is firmly behind the Business Support Programme, financed from the UK Shared Prosperity Fund, which aims to provide help to boost new enterprise.
Ready to Grow will be held at Uckfield Civic Centre on 3rd October and offers an opportunity to learn about promotion and marketing.
The afternoon event is just one that's part of a wider training programme for early-stage business owners who have been trading for fewer than three years.
The programme offers a series of free connected workshops, providing advice and expertise on the practicalities of running a business, including finance, marketing, HR and more and also includes a free 1:1 business advisor session.
The programme is being delivered by Digital Islands, a specialist provider of business support services, in conjunction with East Sussex County Council and the districts/boroughs in Wealden, Lewes, Eastbourne and Rother areas.
Conservative county councillor Penny di Cara, Lead Member for the economy, says: "Helping new local businesses to gain expert advice in a crucial area such as marketing is vital to their success. I am delighted the event is being staged to enable them to boost the county's economy and employ local people."
New businesses will be able to access a range of programmes including workshops and one-to-one advice sessions. It is easy to apply, and free to use.
